Our Objectives

  • Build a community center that includes: a library, individual and group learning spaces, rooms for performing arts and craft and after school programs, soup kitchen and offices for social workers and community workers.
  • Provide school supplies, transportation to and from school, two meals each weekday (Monday –Friday), personal hygiene items (e.g. pads for teen girls).
  • Conduct after school program to help and encourage children to do their homework.
  • Train youth how to start small businesses.
  • Train parents how to support the educational success of their children.
  • Provide job training (CV preparation, interview tactics, etc) to prepare youth for employment and work.
  • Train youth in the fine arts, e.g., arts and crafts, drama, music and dance.Create girls’ and boys’ clubs for youth to discuss social issues and problems.
  • Identify community and governmental resources for impoverished individuals and families.
  • Identify families living in extreme poverty so as to provide food.
  • Give renewable scholarships or financial assistance for students to attend university, vocational school or improve their high school subjects.
  • Conduct field trips around Windhoek to familiarize students with their environment (for example Windhoek fairground).
